Nils Patrik Johansson machte sich in der Hard'n'Heavy Szene einen weltweit anerkannten Namen  durch seine Mitwirkung als Leadsänger bei den Astral Doors, Lion’s Share, Wuthering Heights und Civil War. Mit allen diesen Bands kann er sowohl in seiner Heimat Schweden als auch international beachtliche Erfolge vorweisen.

Neben diversen Gastauftritten hat Nils Patrik Johansson von 2003 bis heute mit seinen Bands und Solo insgesamt 21 komplette Studioalbenlben veröffentlicht.

Johansson hat ein ausgeprägtes historisches Interesse, welches sich in vielen seiner Texten niederschlägt. So setzt er sich auf  seinem jüngstes Werk, dem Konzeptalbum „The Great Conspiracy“, mit dem, bis zum heutigen Tag nicht abschließend geklärten, Mord an dem schwedischen Premierminister Olof Palme im Jahr 1986 auseinander.

Stilistisch steht die Musik von NPJ zumeist  in der Tradition des klassischen Hard Rock / Heavy Metal mit einem Hauch von Power Metal.

Nils Patrik Johansson made a worldwide name for himself in the Hard'n'Heavy scene through his participation as lead singer at the Astral Doors, Lion's Share, Wuthering Heights and Civil War.

With all these bands he can show considerable success both in his home country Sweden and internationally.
In addition to various guest appearances, Nils Patrik Johansson has released a total of 21 complete studio albums with his bands and solo from 2003 until today.
Johansson has a distinct historical interest, which is reflected in many of his lyrics.
